Just A Little Bit About Me
My name is Ennalisa Baker, although I go by Lisa. I am 24 years old living in Brampton Ontario. I have four brothers, one sister, and 10 nieces and nephews, one of which I am holding in the picture on the left. I have a Bachelors degree in Public Health and I currently work for a medical device company in the quality assurance and clinical development department. I currently do not belong to any organizations. Every since I was younger I’ve had a love and keen interest in helping others in any way possible. Throughout my studies I became extremely passionate about health programs and developed a desire to advocate for health programs in our communities through education and outreach to help our communities. I want to be a health program planner and contribute to the development and implementations of health policies. Therefore I decided to apply to the Masters of Health Studies (MHS) program at Athabasca University in order to obtain further knowledge and training to have a greater influence in the health sector. I want to further develop skills that are necessary to design and develop community based interventions and develop/ implement health policies and engage in the decision-making process. Therefore the role of my portfolio is to show my passion and perspective of public health throughout the different topics that will be discussed within my MHS course.
