Thank you for visiting my first e-portfolio. As part of the Master of Health Studies course MHST/NURS 601: Philosophical Foundations of Health Systems, that I am taking at Athabasca University I am required to create a professional e-portfolio for my first assignment. The University of Lethbridge (2014) defines a professional portfolio as, “a record of goals, growth, achievement, and professional attributes developed over time and in collaboration with others”. This site will explore the wide spectrum of public health from the greater picture of the Canadian Healthcare system to the factors influencing the health of Canadians by addressing and including my perspective on the weekly topics discussed throughout this course.
